CRAICLY is a storytelling group that pops up in atmospheric, unique venues all over Ireland. Combining places and people, CRAICLY uses storytelling, and the sharing of true stories and experiences to help bring us together…and to have some craic doing it! CRAICLY STORIES returns to Ballyvolane House on Friday, 27th June 2025.
Join us on Friday June 27th where we will celebrate “The Irish Salmon” - we will hear stories of this incredible creature and its place in Irish folklore, natural heritage, food heritage and the angling industry. It’s an evening event, with approx 50 attendees, 4 storytellers and will include a welcome drink and a 2 course fork supper.

Justin elected as new Chair of Historic Houses of Ireland
Historic Houses of Ireland is delighted to announce that Justin Green of Ballyvolane House has been elected as its new chairman. Our heartfelt thanks to outgoing chairman, Thomas Cosby of Stradbally Hall, who oversaw impressive growth in the organisation during his six-year tenure.
Justin will be responsible for focusing the board’s activities on strategic matters, overseeing the association’s business, and setting high governance standards.
Together with his fellow board members, he will also continue to oversee and support CEO Jonathan Manning’s efforts to grow our membership, fundraise and pursue HHI’s objectives.
Historic Houses of Ireland is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation of privately owned Irish architectural heritage.
