Hello Honey Journal - Our Favourite Country House
Huge thanks to The Honey Journal for staying at Ballyvolane House and for featuring the house on their blog.
Founded in 2021, The Honey Journal is a place for women who value the restorative powers of a sunrise yoga session just as much as the healing powers of a night out in a sweaty nightclub with your closest pals. It’s is a space for women who like to keep their pulse on the latest trends but who also couldn’t care less. It is a contradiction and a constantly evolving space where anything goes.
“We’d been expecting a chic country escape, having read the amazing Tripadvisor reviews and seen the gorgeous Instagram posts but we really weren’t prepared for the wow factor of Ballyvolane House.”
Thanks for your support and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

Bertha’s Revenge Gin Marmalade - The Proof of the Pudding is in the Eating - Short Film by Storybord.ie.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. We are delighted to share this short film by David McClelland of Justin and Antony (the distillers of Bertha’s Revenge Gin) enjoying a slice of toast with a generous dollop of Bertha’s Revenge Gin Marmalade. It is absolutely delicious and made by our friends at Crossogue Preserves in Tipperary. Total heaven!

Escape to the Country - Ballyvolane House Summer News
We are so glad that we are open again and seeing our lovely guests once more! We have been busy preparing and the place has never looked better!
Since June 2nd, we have been open to holiday makers from the island of Ireland, and we are so excited to welcome international travellers from the 19th of July!
We are all in need of a good holiday (including ourselves!) and there is no better time to explore what Ireland has to offer. Now more than ever, we feel people need an escape to the peaceful countryside, to unwind and be spoiled rotten for a few days in splendid isolation. Sip on pre-dinner Bertha’s Revenge Gin cocktails and enjoy home cooking by House Chef Sarah English. Rest assured, our team has undergone Covid-19 safety training and we are following all the Government advice and protocols in relation to Covid.
We hope you will come and see us this summer.
Best wishes,
Jenny & Justin
