This Monday Bank Holiday 2nd August (and selected dates this summer!) we are opening up our gardens and ‘Grub’s Up’ pop-up cafe at Ballyvolane House.

However, this week there is an added twist, YOGA. Steve Mercer, a fantastic yoga instructor, will be teaching a yoga class amongst the mature trees and woodland in the great outdoors at Ballyvolane House during our open garden and café (weather dependant….. as always!).

There is something so special and peaceful about practising yoga while being surrounded by nature and tranquility. To find out more and to book your place, please message Steve on facebook, link here.

Stroll around the wonderful 80 acres of manicured gardens and parkland with friends and family. Some of the highlights include the walled-garden, the lakes and the Rock woodland walk. Not to mention our much loved donkeys, piggies and hens that you might spot along the way!

After your walk, you can grab a light lunch (this week it is quiche and salads) as well as delicious homemade cakes and pastries to be eaten alfresco in the garden. We also serve barista Maher’s coffee and of course, refreshing Bertha’s Revenge Gin & tonics as well as other beverages.

And soon, when our new wood fired pizza oven is built, we will have homemade flatbreads, pizzas and snacks on offer too. We have lots of seating outdoors and covered seating under open-sided marquees dotted around the gardens.

Opening hours- 12-4pm

Admission is €5 per person and €15 for a family ticket (2 adults & up to 3 kids) Unfortunately, we can only accept cash on admission, however in the café we do take card.

Dogs are welcome as long as they are on leads!
