Bertha’s Revenge Gin Distillery Tour, Tasting & Lunch

Join us on Wednesday, 31st August for a “Meet the Maker” tour of Ballyvolane House and Bertha’s Revenge Gin distillery followed by a long-table lunch in the dining terrace overlooking the glorious gardens. Enjoy a ‘gin-wag’ during lunch with fellow guests and Justin Green, co-founder and distiller of Bertha’s Revenge Gin.

National Heritage Week 2022.

As part of National Heritage Week 2022 which runs from 13th to 21st August 2022, join us for our special National Heritage Week Open Gardens, Pop-Up Café and guided tours of the house and grounds on Wednesday, 17th August 2022.

The main themes of National Heritage Week this year are sustainability and biodiversity and Justin will be giving a guided tour of Ballyvolane House and grounds at 1pm and 3pm.

Home for Home is a travel auction, offering participants the chance to stay in some of the world’s most beautiful and exclusive homes, with all proceeds directly benefiting much needed aid relief efforts in the Ukraine. The brainchild of our dear friend Josephine Ryan, author, interiors expert and stylist, the collection comprises 30 properties located across the globe, many of which are not typically available to rent. Homes listed include Neuendorf House, a design-led Mallorcan villa created by world renowned architects John Pawson and Claudio Silvestrin and Thyme, the much loved 31 bedroom bolthole found in the heart of the Cotswolds as well as a night’s stay at Ballyvolane House.

It was an absolute pleasure to host the Historic Houses of Ireland AGM at Ballyvolane House on 3rd September. It was lovely to see everyone face to face at last. The AGM was held in the hay barn which was followed by lunch in the dining terrace. Justin gave everyone a tour of the house and gardens after lunch. Thank you to everyone for coming.

Heritage Week 2021 Join us this Sunday, 22nd August from 12noon to 4pm for our special Heritage Week Open Gardens, Pop-Up Café and Historic House Tours.

Justin (the owner) will be giving a guided tour of Ballyvolane House and grounds at 1pm and 3pm. The weather is looking good and visitors can explore the glorious gardens and woodland walks.

Our café in the barn will be serving Barista coffees from Maher’s Coffee Roasters in Cork as well as cakes, pastries, wood-fired pizzas and ice cream all homemade here at the house. Visitors can also enjoy local craft beers, ciders and spirits with lunch including our very own Bertha’s Revenge Gin which is distilled on-site.

Pooches are welcome too.

Entry fee: €5.00 per person/€15.00 per family.
