Waterford Festival of Food - Talk on 'The Art of Salmon Fishing' and a Cookery Demo at O'Brien Chop House on Friday, 15 April

A part of the Waterford Festival of Food, we are hosting a talk on \'The Art of Salmon Fishing\' which will be followed by a Cookery Demo at O\'Brien Chop House on Friday, 15 April 2011. The talk will be given by Norman Gillett who is both a qualified instructor holding the Salmon & Trout Association National Instructors Certificate (STANIC), and a member of the Game Angling Instructors\' Association (GAIA). Norman is one of the most experienced and talented fishing guides on the river Blackwater. Norman will cover all aspects of modern fly-fishing and spinning techniques as well as the fascinating life-cycle of the wild Altantic salmon.

The talk will be followed by a `Cookery Demo with Chop House Chef Eddie Baguio. He will show you how to make gravlax using a variety of cures.

WHEN: 6.30pm to 8pm

WHERE: O\'Brien Chop House, Main Street, Lismore, Co. Waterford

PRICE: €20 per person to include the talk, the demo, a glass of wine and the gravlax.
